My team members and I won a competitive $10K grant from the 2024 Citizen Action Diplomacy Fund (funded by US Department of State) to implement YES-P, a 12-week climate leadership and exchange program for 60 high school and university students from Indonesia, Nigeria, and the USA. At its core, YES-P combined three components: 1) virtual trainings featuring experts in sustainability and climate science, 2) local capstone group projects, and 3) in-person biodiversity field trips. As team co-lead, I oversaw a global team of 5 (+ 23 volunteers), managed project logistics/budget, and helped facilitate weekly learning activities. I designed and led a design thinking training workshop that helped participants think through and create their local capstone projects.
